Conditions governing access to and use of ISCB® professional certification services.

These Terms of Service govern the relationship between the International Security Certification Board — ISCB® and individuals or organizations accessing its professional certification services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.

2. About ISCB®

ISCB® is an accredited certification body under ISO/IEC 17024:2012 (accredited by ANAB — ANSI National Accreditation Board) offering professional certification programs in the polygraph examination and compliance sectors. These Terms establish the conditions under which such services are provided to candidates, certified professionals, and organizations.

3. Scope

These Terms apply to:

  • Candidates applying for initial certification.
  • Certified professionals managing recertification or credential maintenance.
  • Organizations verifying credentials through our channels.
  • Any user accessing ecertify.org or associated platforms.

4. Definitions

  • Candidate: individual applying to an ISCB® certification program.
  • Certificate: document attesting that a person meets the certification scheme requirements.
  • Certification Scheme: set of requirements, assessments, and conditions defined for each program (APE®, PPE®, CCO®).
  • Recertification: periodic renewal process for an active credential.
  • Platform: ecertify.org and associated candidate management systems.

5. Acceptance of Terms

Accessing the Platform or requesting any service constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using our services. ISCB® reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; changes will be published on this page.

6. Candidate Requirements

To access certification programs, candidates must:

  • Be of legal age under the laws of their country of residence.
  • Meet the educational, experience, and ethical conduct requirements set out in the applicable Certification Scheme Handbook.
  • Provide truthful information and authentic documentation in all application forms.
  • Pay the applicable fees for the selected program.

7. Services

ISCB® provides the following core services:

  • Initial Certification: assessment of requirements and issuance of the credential.
  • Recertification: periodic renewal every three (3) years.
  • Credential Verification: public lookup of certification status.
  • Candidate Support: assistance via email and digital channels.

8. Fees and Payments

Current fees for each program are published on the Platform. ISCB® reserves the right to update fees with prior notice. Payment is processed through the methods enabled on the Platform. Fees are expressed in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@ecertify.org before the evaluation process begins.
  • Once the evaluation process has started, no refunds will be issued.
  • ISCB® reserves the right to cancel or suspend a certification process in cases of fraud or failure to meet scheme requirements, with no refund obligation.

10. Obligations of Candidates and Certified Professionals

  • Use the credential only as authorized by the certification scheme.
  • Do not reproduce or alter certificates issued by ISCB®.
  • Keep contact and professional practice information up to date.
  • Promptly notify ISCB® of any change that may affect compliance with scheme requirements.
  • Comply with the ISCB® Code of Ethics throughout the certification period.

11. Suspension and Withdrawal of Certifications

ISCB® may suspend or withdraw a certification in the following cases:

  • Violation of the Code of Ethics.
  • Falsification of information or documentation.
  • Misuse of the credential or the ISCB® logo.
  • Failure to complete recertification within established deadlines.

12. Intellectual Property

All website content, assessment materials, logos, trademarks, and designs are the exclusive property of ISCB® or its licensors. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.

13. Limitation of Liability

ISCB® shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the services. ISCB®'s maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

14. Complaints and Appeals

Candidates and certified professionals may submit complaints or appeals to ISCB® in accordance with the procedure published in the applicable Certification Scheme Handbook. Requests must be sent to info@ecertify.org. ISCB® will respond within thirty (30) business days.

15. Personal Data

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for candidates in the European Union.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
