ISCB® Code of Ethics
Introduction
The International Security Certification Board | ISCB® is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability in compliance, security, and certification practices. This Code of Ethics guides the conduct of all certified professionals.
1. Integrity and Legality
Certified professionals must act in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and international standards. Any action intended to circumvent or defy the law or ethical principles is strictly prohibited.
2. Professional Independence
Members shall remain impartial and avoid conflicts of interest. No decisions, certifications, or reports may be influenced by personal gain, external pressure, or undue influence.
3. Transparency and Accuracy
All reports, certifications, and communications must be factual, objective, and verifiable. Professionals shall not knowingly provide false, misleading, or incomplete information.
4. Fair Representation
All public statements, advertisements, or references to ISCB® certification must be truthful and clearly identify the certification status held. Misrepresentation of credentials is prohibited.
5. Confidentiality
Personal or sensitive information obtained during professional practice must remain confidential, unless disclosure is required by law or regulatory authority.
6. Respect and Non-Discrimination
Certified professionals shall not engage in discriminatory practices based on race, gender, religion, political views, sexual orientation, or any personal beliefs. Respect for human dignity and equality is fundamental.
7. Ethical Responsibility
All certified members must maintain the highest ethical standards, demonstrate leadership by example, and contribute to strengthening trust in compliance and certification worldwide.
8. Accountability and Oversight
Violations of this Code may result in investigation, corrective action, suspension, or revocation of certification. Professionals are required to cooperate fully with ISCB® oversight processes.
9. Continuous Development
Certified professionals shall engage in lifelong learning and maintain their competence through continuing education, ensuring alignment with evolving global standards such as ISO/IEC 17024, ISO 37301, and ISO 37001.
