Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.ecertify.org (the "Site") and any services provided by the International Security Certification Board | ISCB®. By accessing or using our Site or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the ISCB® Certification Handbook, and all applicable accreditation standards. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Site and services immediately.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to apply for certification or use ISCB® services. By accessing our Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and accept that eligibility criteria for certification are defined in the official ISCB® Certification Handbook.
2. Use of Services
You agree to use our Site and services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards (including ISO/IEC 17024:2012). You may not:

Misrepresent your identity or certification status.

Interfere with or disrupt the security or functionality of the Site.

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, accounts, or data.

Circumvent policies related to impartiality, confidentiality, or ethics as outlined in the Certification Handbook.
3. Certification and Training Distinction
Certification programs, including Certified Compliance Officer (CCO®) and Professional Polygraph Examiner (PPE®), are accredited under ISO/IEC 17024:2012 and administered exclusively by ISCB® under ANAB accreditation. Training programs offered by partners do not constitute certification and must not be misrepresented as such.
4. Governance and Impartiality
All certification decisions are made solely by the Professional Certification Board (PCB) of ISCB® LLC. Certification outcomes are impartial, transparent, and free from external influence. Membership in any professional association does not grant preferential treatment in certification decisions. ISCB® also maintains strict independence between its certification functions and any commercial or training activities of its partners.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and certifications, is the property of ISCB® or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify content without prior written consent from ISCB®.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, consistent with ISO/IEC 17024, ISO/IEC 27701, and applicable data protection laws.
7. Candidate Obligations
By applying for certification, candidates agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information.

Abide by ISCB®’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility standards.

Follow policies regarding examinations, retesting, recertification, and appeals as described in the Certification Handbook.

Respect credential validity periods and complete recertification requirements as defined in the Certification Handbook.

Cooperate with audits, monitoring, or investigations conducted by ISCB®.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ISCB® is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Site, certification services, or reliance on provided information. Certification decisions are impartial and based solely on demonstrated competence.
9. Appeals and Complaints
Candidates and certificants have the right to file an appeal or complaint regarding certification decisions, examinations, or administrative processes. All such requests will be handled in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the ISCB® Certification Handbook.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ISCB®, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Site, services, or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to the Terms
ISCB® may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles, and subject to the accreditation requirements of ANAB under ISO/IEC 17024.
